The PiP works

 The PiP Works is a creative hub dedicated to supporting work in progress across poetry and performance. We value process as much as outcome, helping artists move from initial concept to live performance by providing the support, space, and structure needed to develop meaningful, original work for public presentation.

PiP stands for Poetry in Performance, reflecting our passion for words and how they live and evolve when spoken, staged, and shared with audiences. We run regular workshops where artists can experiment with new material, receive constructive feedback, and develop work for presentation at our annual festival and other public events.

Mentorship is central to what we do. We connect emerging artists with experienced practitioners who volunteer their time and expertise, supporting both creative and professional development while strengthening the wider creative community. Improvisation is a key method within The PiP Works’ approach, encouraging flexibility, responsiveness, and collaboration in the creation of work that engages and resonates with audiences.
