SIX THINGS

Six antiques. Six poets. One epic poem.

The poetry in this collection was originally commissioned by Pomegranate London Magazine and Théâtre Volière for Poetry Plays - our annual festival of poetry in performance at The Cockpit, London.

Louis de Bernières was tasked with purchasing six small objects from Alfie’s Antiques, just across the road from The Cockpit, and creating a narrative linking them together. Five poets, drawn from Jill Abram’s Versery workshops, then joined Louis in giving a voice to each of the objects.

Foreword by Louis de Bernières.

Written by: Louis de Bernières, Jill Abram, Clarissa Aykroyd, Ellen McAteer, Mary Mulholland & Kathy Pimlott.
