Things presents a series of characters who form
an unwitting interpersonal circle through the
antique objects that have come into their
possession. Written by Louis de Bernières, Jill Abram, Mary Mulholland, Kathy Pimlott, Clarissa Aykroyd and Ellen McAteer. Performed by storyteller James Peacock.

A theatrical collage exploring the
interface between history, place and mental health, set on an island in the Thames estuary. Featuring extracts from Jacquot Pfau’s lo-fi song cycle Canvey Island Baby, Mick Wood’s poetry sequence Estuary English, and French film-maker Eloise Frey’s atmospheric footage from Canvey. With choreography by Jan Wood.

Knocked unconscious after a fall. a theatre technician dreams of an island with perpetual sun, a pop-up grimoire, and a dark father figure with terrible intent. Surreal, gothic metatheatre adapted by Michelle Penn from her collection Paper Crusade (Arachne Press) itself a reimagining of Shakespeare's The Tempest.

Interdisciplinary improvisation on the long table. First Thought Best Thought is a mash-up of jazz, dance, spoken-word and visual art.

In his last few moments in his remote shack on the Suffolk marshes, a reclusive hoarder strives to make sense of his ghosts and clutter. Poet and photographer Martin Figura, with his celebrated wit and humanity, shows us how even the most stunted of lives can be transformed into a work of profound art.

words. With the inspiration of Sappho’s timeless poetry, we are taken on a journey of free improvisation, bringing to life sounds from Greek traditional music, Georges Aperghis, Angelique Lonatos and beyond. With soprano Theano
Papadaki, violist Alkatis Misouli, dancer Sofia Filippou and accordionist Alisa Silina.

Observed by real and imagined demons, a family living on the edge of a forest struffles to come to terms with its self-imposed isolation. Transit Productions' interpretation of Mick Wood's poetry sequence set in the Vosges mountains. Haunting live music, storytelling and carnival masks, drawing on folk traditions from Alsace and the Black Forest.

Tom Stockley's piece about the experience of living with ADHD, All the Things I Said is a funny, tragic, angry, defiant piece of work that encapsulates perfectly what we mean when we talk about poetry playing in the theatre.
